Fabric Friday – Betsy Ann A

Fabric Friday at last and better late than never.

So this week for the friday feature, it is this beautiful fabric from Liberty. From the Tana Lawn collection this floral fabric is called Betsy Ann A. It is 100% cotton and is the miniature version of the famous Liberty classic print ‘Betsy,’ which originates from 1933. I love it because of the gorgeous detail, vivid colours and its 1930s feel.

IMG_3334While I have visited the Liberty store in London, I actually bought this fat quart from a store I recently discovered in Plymouth.

This quirky shop has all sorts of Liberty products from fabric to clothes and lots of other treasures.

I have yet to decide what I plan to do with this fabric but I think I may be tempted by one of the beautiful projects in the Liberty Book of Home Sewing.

Perhaps I will use it as a trimming for a new laptop or phone case.

The limits with this fabric feel endless  at the moment I am only restricted by its size, but I am sure I will be posting a picture of a new project using it soon.
