Fabric Friday: Cypress paisley/blush

This week for fabric Friday I wanted to share a summery fabric after we have had all this beautiful sunshine.

So here it is a Cypress paisley/blush from the fabulous Amy Butler’s Love fabric collection.

I just love this fabric, like all Amy Butler‘s fabrics from the collection it is pretty, colourful, soulful and floral. Amy’s ethnic patterns were in fact inspired from her recent trips to Indonesia and England. All her fabrics have beautiful intricate detail that always intrigues me.

The Love is a collection of 26 luscious fabrics, each is bite-sized  and the perfect weight fabric for quilting, bag making and clothes creating.

Cypress paisley/blush is just one pretty fabric from the collection and I think it is exquisite and exotic. I have a few from this collection and I have planned to do something with them for a while. One thing I love most about Amy Butler fabrics is they work so effortlessly together regardless of the pattern a selection from the same collection and be worked into a number of projects. Takes a weight of a crafter’s shoulders knowing all you have to do is pick which you like best because all the fabric matches, though I suppose that is all part of the fun.

So far I have only used in a small project to make some bunting for my bed:

Otherwise I think I might use it on a small quilting project perhaps like this one from Kirsty Neale’s new book Hoop-La.

Hope it is as sunny where you are as it is here.

Have a lovely weekend and happy Stitching!
